Privacy Policy

This is a template policy written for the Vidaara demo storefront. It describes how the site is actually built and what it currently does — replace the placeholder contact details with real ones, and have it reviewed by a qualified professional before this store takes real customer data.

1. Who we are

Vidaara ("we", "us", "our") makes and sells handcrafted jewellery, including pieces designed by customers through our Custom Studio. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and shipping details you give us at checkout — name, email, phone number, delivery address and PIN code.
  • Order details — the products or custom designs you buy, quantities, prices and order history.
  • Payment information — we do not receive or store your full card, UPI or bank details. Payments are processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay, under its own privacy and security policies.
  • Design data — if you use the Custom Studio, the bead sequence and notes you create are saved in your browser (via local storage) so your design survives a page refresh, and are sent to us only when you add the design to your bag.
  • Newsletter sign-up — the email address you provide if you subscribe for updates.

3. How we use it

  • To process and fulfil your order, including passing shipping details to our courier partners.
  • To manage stock and order records through our inventory system.
  • To contact you about your order, a commission, or a support request you raised.
  • To send occasional updates if you have opted in to the newsletter — you can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who we share it with

  • Razorpay, to process payments securely.
  • Our inventory and fulfilment system, to manage stock and prepare your order.
  • Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.

We share only what each partner needs to do its job, and do not permit them to use your information for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site uses your browser's local storage — not tracking cookies — to remember your shopping bag and any in-progress Custom Studio design between visits. This data stays on your device and is only sent to us when you complete an order. We load our display typeface from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of that request.

6. Data retention and security

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, warranty and legal purposes. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from marketing emails, by contacting us using the details below.

8. Children's privacy

Vidaara is intended for adults making a purchase or commission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
